Subject: Anglish: English with Only Germanic Roots Tue May 30, 2017 11:04 am
There is a clustering of folk online who seek to takeoff from the English tongue all words whose roots lie outlandishly to the Germanish* ones. I like this thought and will take a crack at doing it.
*Edit: I just realized Germanic comes from the Latin Germania, so one would need a different word if to be totally pure. The Anglish suggestions are Dutchland, which would be confusing since "Dutch" already means something else, and Teutonland, which I guess it better but still clunky.
